boys and girls are also available. LIBRARY: Our management is the backbone supporter for our MBA Programme in all its spheres of activities. There are two libraries available and one among is exclusively meant for MBA student's purpose. The Central library is equipped with 12988 number of books and the other one contains 926 number of books exclusively for management studies. The Central library is subscribing 73 number of magazines, periodicals for enrichment of knowledge apart from class hour studies. Subscription is being made for 6 number of magazines 13 number of periodicals exclusively for MBA. More over it has been supported with a high speed Internet connection with broadband facility for 24 hours browsing purpose to the MBA students for research and project purpose. Provisions under DELNET is also available in the library. HOSTEL: A parental approach to the students is essential who are away from their home. Such an affable atmosphere, that is, a home away from home, is being provided in the hostels. Separate hostels for Boys and Girls with basic modern amenities and facilities in an exquisite form are available in the campus. The winsome items of Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food are provided. A Mineral water plant providing drinking water round the clock has been installed. Health care facilities are also available in the hostel itself. HEALTH CENTRE: "Health is Wealth". Hence it is utmost necessary to protect the health of the students. So we are providing separate Health centres both in Mens' and Women's Hostels with minimum facilities required for a Clinic. One experienced Doctor is attending the students in the Men's Hostel on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and giving treatment to whom it requires; Like wise, the same Doctor is attending the Women's Hostel on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and giving treatment to whom it requires. Thus we are taking care upon the health of the students. LANGUAGE & COMPUTER LAB: To impart language skills, we have a well furnished air conditioned Language Lab. A sophisticated and magnificient airconditioned Computer Lab with high end configuration systems to cater the needs of the students is also available. An Internet Centre is also there for the benefit of the students. TRANSPORT: Frequent buses are available from both Virudhunagar and Sivakasi to the Institute (SKIMT). To bring the students from Virudhunagar, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sattur and Sivakasi, the institute has owned a large No. of buses. This facility is going to be extended in future. Not to imbibe the students in the name of bus fare, a nominal charge is being levied from them. PLACEMENT & CAREER GUIDANCE CELL: 100% placement is our motto. Hence we have a separate Placement and Career guidance cell for our students. Mock interviews, Debates and group discussions have been organized to train-up them. Orientation programmes on Information Technology are being conducted to face interviews in their field. The placement cell of our institution (SKIMT) will do wonder to open vistas in the employment world for our students. |
